Day 3: 2010 Winter Olympicsby jrdawsonComment: That's a serious looking milling machine. Like the story with the image. Good use of DOF to put the machine so sharply out of the background. |

Kayak Bluesby juliepComment: Quite a kyak collection. I like the color here and the repeating pattern. |

30DayFeb02.jpgby juliepComment: I know about where this is. The overcast makes things look a bit blah in color saturation, but the composition is right nice.
Looks like the surveyor had a couple of good stiff drinks the day this walk was laid out. : ) |

Tombstone.jpgby rider64Comment: Nice memorial. I am glad that vandals haven't trashed them. I feel that this would be good in B&W too. |

Day 3by karmatComment: Good snapshot. I do that sort of thing too, with the camera on the seat and ready when I am driving. Interesting history about the place too. |

Local Hang Out Day 3by emily212Comment: You shot this at the right time of day to have the lights stand out, and to also get detail all over. Nice peek at the local honkey tonk. |

Taking Flightby EBJonesComment: Excellent rection time, and fortunate that your camera was ready. I like the weeds as they add a sense of what the scene looks like instead of just a bird with water behind it. |

Fanby RetroesqueComment: Nice composing with the way the circles are a bit off center. lots of lines and curves and a very metallic look to it too. These ventilators have been around for a long time, and the wind turns them and makes them pull hot air out of a building. They are a very energy efficient (green) way of helping cool a place, and help to keep humidity lower inside. Most of these have a shutter that can be closed when it is cold outside.
I never would have thought to photograph one from directly below for it's graphic quality. |
