Palm Lane Westby AliciaComment: Neat looking street. We have some similar near here, but not with the same kind of palms. I may try to get a shot of one of them later this month.
The sky is way cool in this image. Shooting from across the street would make the trees brighter as in the "east view." |

Yorktown Sunsetby EBJonesComment: What a blank sky. The single color in the sky fits well with the subject, and it is nice that you included the people on deck. Contrails are good. |

Day 06 - Simbaby JimyThingComment: That is a content looking cat.
When shooting, try to get at eye level with animals when you can. Something about shooting that way tends to draw attention to the animal in the image.
Good color combo in this one. |

night-chills.jpgby yetiComment: That orange glow means it's going to be a cold one.
Try trimming off some of the dark area in sunset/sunrise shots. I have learned that most people do not care for the large areas of blank space at the bottom. An even better fix is to shoot with less dark at the bottom, then you can keep more of the sky, or crop it off later if needed. |

i heart laundry.by ShannonLeeComment: Hi Shanny girl, We have been having a big time with your " Feburary 30 day Show and Tell" thread.
I see you have started off with another of your unique brand of attention stealer images. Good job with both the thread and the image.

DAY 7 . where i live . aLi comin homeby rozComment: Cool take on everyday life in Au.
Did you think about that you were standing in a very dangerous position when you shot it? : )
Good luck with the 'puter upgrade. If you get to read this, it must be working. |

Oasisby RetroesqueComment: We have watering restrictions here in S Florida too. Most of the trees and plants in my yard are native ones, so they tend to do all right without any extra water at all.
Here they call the gardening like you have "xeriscape" gardening, and it has been getting more popular as the water supply dwindles.
It is a nice little garden that you have, and must look good when everything around is dry and brown.
I like the low angle, as it puts the plants in a nice perspective . |
