That is a beautiful place. I would like to see it someday. Good shooting for a noon time image.

This tree looks completely different from the pines we have here in Florida. That's not a bad thing though. The pines here grow straight up, dropping lower limbs as they get taller.
I see you used the white cloud to echo the shape of the tree in this one.

This looks good, and you included plenty of the just "perfect for photos" sky too. I like both, but the steamboat wins with me.

Great looking riverboat and good history to go with it. I went out on the "Natchez" while in New Orleans about 25 years ago, and it was the highlight of the trip. It was a thrill to get to go into the engine room and see the steam machinery operating up close. I still have a tray of slides from that day. Thanks for the reminder about it.

What a cool view from up there. It's amazing to me how the new buildings dwarf what likely was a much taller building than any other when it was built. You live in a nice looking city, and have shown us a lot of interesting views of it over the month of this challenge. I am so happy that you were in, and that I decided to get in also. I knew it would be a lot of fun, entertainment, and that we would all benefit a lot from the experience.

Nicely photographed without much to distract in the background, and nice to have the plaque as well. Too bad that making such ordinary items as a water tower into a work of art isn't practiced in construction today.

This looks much better than the one in the accident pics. I am glad that you got the stick shift that you wanted too. Too bad they didn't save your "jams" from the old one to install in this one. At least, you were not hurt or killed in the accident, and have wheels again.
Now you need to go on a photo adventure with the new one to get it adjusted to your stopping every mile or two to take pics. LOL : )
I have enjoyed seeing your images and comments during this challenge. The area that you live in reminds me a lot of the trip to NM that I took last Oct. I shot almost 3K images in 10 days out there, and loved every second of the trip.

Nice to see a pic of you having a good time with your gear for a parting shot. Good idea with the reflection in the window. I also will miss all the communication, and the extra incenitive to shoot a lot of images around home that I would not otherwise have now.

This is an interesting looking building. I always wonder what could be found within the walls and hidden nooks of a place like this if it ever is dismantled or restored.
This is a very sharp looking image. I love my collection of old manual focus lenses too, and use them often with my S3 Fuji, and as with the D50, everything is manual, and no light metering.
