I read how you did this, and see that you had a plan, and worked around your D70's limitations brilliantly.

Bushfire Aftermath

I hope that the fire didn't cause damage to your home or livestock. We have been having the 3rd worst drought in recent history here, and fires like this are all over. Somehow, I know exactly what this scene smells like.
Good that you got this before the brown leaves fell off the trees.

Where the Light Comes In

The light is just right in this. I am wondering if the dark areas on the lower sides of the opening are pp or something that was actually there. In any case, the light outside balanced with the light on the stone work is just superb.

This is beautiful. We do not have that kind of masonry or adobe architecture here in Florida. The bright center draws me right to the blue, then I look at the details overhead in the arches.
