20120407-IMG_6725-Edit-Editby MinsoPhotoComment: My son Brad worked in this part of the Disney park when he started his career. He was fired in a couple of years, when it was time for him to go full time. There was a big class action suit about Disney doing this to part time employees shortly after.
Anyway, he went to work for Universal Studios the next week, worked his way up to head of HR and ticketing there in about 4 years.
He then put in a resume when he was on vacation at Dollywood, just to see what would happen.
They called him in two weeks, offered him double his salary, and now he an exec at Dollywood. In addition to his regular $100K+ salary, he's getting $175/ hr now to shoot some of their ad pix, for post cards ect.
All the ad photos for the new roller coaster are his. He even has one of the coaster in Popular Mechanics this month.
His recent pics are on Fb, as Brad Justice Photography.
Sorry for the long blurb. I'm just proud that I helped him get started. |

Private Residenceby jaysonmcComment: Ditto the "I think this one just doesn't stand out". As a thumbnail among interesting and colorful images it would not catch my eye at all. It's just a cube house on a hill.
Technically it's an ok midday B&W image. I have to remind myself that people looking at a photo can't know what is just outside the frame. There may be a gated community just over the hill, or a shopping mall to the left or right for all a viewer would know.
If there was nothing on either side, horizontal and super wide using rule of 3rds and a lower POV to get more foreground into the shot, would probably moved it into a minimalist sort of composition and bumped up the score.

Mastsby 3DsArcherComment: This is a pretty scene. When shooting jpg night shots where there are the orange lights, I generally switch to "tungsten/incandescent" WB, or dial in a WB around 2700 K to get a nice blue sky.
With the orange lighting, this one does look natural though. |

Pinkby cynthiannComment: This one pops out of the bright background with a burst of color and sharpness. Pretty flower, and an enjoyable view of it. |

Flying High by JudiComment: It's good to see you "Flying High" again Judi. It's a beautiful image of a very grand looking area of your homeland, and from my favorite point of view too. |

Up close & personalby AbraComment: Love this one. This looks like the "I'm so content that I'm going to yawn in a few seconds" pose.
