 It was a bit of a toss up as to enter this in "Boats" or "Long Exposure" as this is a 30 second exposure.

Where this photo was taken from is quite a popular spot with photographers. Almost everytime I go there, there is usually someone else there taking photographs. I was kicking myself a bit after I started editing this. The White Balance was wrongly set & this was shot as a jpeg instead of RAW where I could have fixed it in PS

This photograph was taken just in front of where I took this photograph back in 2007.

Walkaboutwolf to answer your question & for anyone else who was wondering, this was shot from the Westhaven Marina on the opposite side of the Auckland Harbour Bridge to Bayswater but you have given me an idea of another location to try out

This is a pretty scene. When shooting jpg night shots where there are the orange lights, I generally switch to "tungsten/incandescent" WB, or dial in a WB around 2700 K to get a nice blue sky.
With the orange lighting, this one does look natural though.
