Flex.jpgby killjoy181Comment: Nice sharp focus and detail in the ducks in this shot. The exposure is right on too with no "blow outs" ..

Snow on Fenceby WriteHeartComment: It's very nice that you got the snow in the air the way you did. It's a nice simple scene, and all the elements seem to work in unison in the image. Pretty. |

What is all this white stuff?by WriteHeartComment: Exposure is just right to get the deer to show up right. If you have a low contrast setting in the K100, it may help with shooting things against the snow without blowing out the snow areas. It's a very tough situation for any camera to handle when the ground is snow covered.
It's great that you have deer in the yard like that. |

Yellow.jpgby LuguerComment: This is a good vantage point shot to capture the personality of the auto. Someone spent a lot of time and money to get it to look so cool. |

Grants woods truckby QuigleyComment: The old truck is looking a bit rough around the edges. Looking at the lines on the bed, I would say that this is a Studebaker, about 1962 or so. It's great that you found it at a time that all the dead leaves are around it to give a nice contrast to the blue. |

Old Hostaby BlueZamiaComment: For more DOF, click the ISO up a notch, and the aperture one step smaller. 1/80 @ f5.6, ISO 400 would give the same light levels and more DOF.
I also see the layering of the very organic plant against the very manmade brick wall. I like the contrast, both in the color and the subject/background. |

Sky and Newspaperby BlueZamiaComment: You spotted this little scene well. This would fit nicely with the "Wabi-Sabi" thing that has been discussed recently in the chalenge suggestions forum. The blue sky reflection is very nice with the yellows and browns. |

IMG_0257creek640.jpgby BalkoComment: I see that you had the fisheye set near or at the 10mm end to get the curve in the bridge railing to bend like that. I guess that you have to watch out about getting your toes in the shots with that lens. |

IMG_0109bridge640.jpgby BalkoComment: I have been wanting to experiment with IR images. Maybe a few more like this will jog me to buy the filter. I like the contrast and light shift with IR. |
