ocular reflexby shamerComment: Good shot at a difficult subject. I would have liked to see the whole marble in the reflection. Thank you for the lighting info, which may help me someday with a difficult shot. |

Who's the fairest of them all?by tinky2Comment: Beautiful and simple image. I like that I can see the yellow foot under the water in this. Perfect exposure.
ETA ; I feel that this would have scored better if the bird had been positioned to be moving into instead of out of the image. That's not always possible with moving live animals. Still an beautiful image. Message edited by author 2008-02-18 00:57:04. |

Xby levyj413Comment: Congrats! You mentioned the "brown" sky. Try tungsten white balance some time for city shots at night.
I like it just as you posted it. The X angle works. |

snowy day ~ barnby annigComment: This is beautiful, but certainly looks cold. It's magic how a photograph can make a tough environment look so sweet and inviting. The falling snow flakes give the shot a post card sort of look.
It's going to be 85 F here this afternoon. I plan to go shoot my grandson's soccer game. |

Snowy Clean by annigComment: That is a very rural looking scene. The way the posts frame the clothes line is good, and it is so odd to see laundry out in the winter time with snow and ice everywhere. |

Boardwalkby GregoryBComment: I like the way the closest trees have curves that echo the curves in the walkway. That is a very nice composition element. I also like the way the light is coming thru the trees in this shot. It makes a pattern like foot steps on the boards.
I think that if time allows, I would try to shoot early or late in a place like this as well as mid day. The light under trees gets very even, smooth and green at dusk and dawn, and it makes details of the textures of bark and leaves stand out in photos. |

snowy path by annigComment: I like it! The filter makes the limbs look as if there is an ice storm going on. The frame is nice too for this shot. |
