Peakedby ImagineerComment: This is a glorious image. The large area of negative real space at the top is like icing on the cake. |

i see youby rozComment: Congrats Roz, on a good score in a tough challenge. I think that this shot may have gotten hit for not having the critter "peeking" thru something. |

Put this in your pipe...by fldaveComment: This B&W in color challenge would be a rather tough one. I thought about entering it, but everything around here and out doors where I like to shoot has a lot of color in it.
This image is a good find, to get the light thru the pipes the way you did, and the shapes and lines are good too. I think that it got voted down in the challenge because there is a lot of noise in the darker areas, and, for this challenge, something with high contrast on very strong lines would have been better.
The general low key (not bright) effect keeps the image from getting a lot of views from the thumbnail, because it is difficult to see what it is in thumbnail size. |

Mar 14by Mr_PantsComment: I also noticed the shallow DOF. I bet this would look awesome straight on at the end of the cable, for a texture shot. I like the color of fresh cut copper wire. |
