Day 4by tpbremerComment: Nice POV for the subject, and the hanger wire being a home made thing caught my attention right off. I like the way the film makes diagonals across the frame with the receding perspective. It's been a while since I have seen film drying. Thanks for the memory refresher. |

Day 3: Leaf It Out!by bobonacusComment: You could eliminate some of the bright sky by tilting the photo right at the top and cropping to a vertical comp. It would not get the same effect, but would be cool to see the frame full of that awesome backlit green textures.
Nice find, and good capture to get the details that you wanted well exposed. |

P&S Day 4 - Flamingo Portraitby JuliBocComment: Nicely isolated by DOF, and cropped just right too. I never knew that you could see all the way thru a flamingo's nose. Good color and detail in this shot too. |

Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment: The little Canon did a nice job of controlling the hard sun light in this shot. As you said, the P&S cameras are a lot of fun to have around, and they do macro very nicely. |

tree.jpgby sulamkComment: I see the bit of camera shake too in this shot. It may help to think about gently and gradually increasing pressure on the shutter button, the same way you would trigger a rifle to reduce shake. I use a monopod quite often, and that makes a huge difference in sharpness.
Nice composition, and the colors and texture are pleasing to see. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment: Good idea to make this shot B&W. In addition to the other comments, I like the bit of sawdust in the foreground that seems to add to the effect of something going on. |

P&S Day 3 - CSIby JuliBocComment: Funny shot Juli B. The girl looks like she tired herself out building the sand pile LOL.
My eyes are drawn to the water, and my mind is calculating the depths by the colors. I am guessing 1.5 ft at the end of the wave, 4 ft out to the shallow sand bar or rock underwater, and about 20 ft where the nearest boat is running.
I feel that there is plenty of detail and sharpness in this shot for a P&S beach shot on a bright sunny day. I guess that we are sort of spoiled by our DSLR's.
I miss seeing that golden sand of the east coast beaches. |

Day 2 - monkey boxby GinaRothfelsComment: It's nice that you composed with the box in a box within a box. Freshmark is a name that I see with the vegetables that we pack in this area as well. |

Day 1 - man and muralby GinaRothfelsComment: Awesome interaction between the static mural and the dynamic man walking. Perfect timing and shutter speed, and good scene choice and composition as well. The 3d effect of the mural over the actual 3d wall parts is interesting, as well as the ground at the bottom with the rock and mortar strewn about. This is much more than just a snapshot. |

DAY 2by tpbremerComment: The "one eye stare" with the eye at the center, makes this shot. The cooler color edit also adds to the feel that you seemed to be wanting to produce. Good job. |
