tree.jpgby sulamkComment: I see the bit of camera shake too in this shot. It may help to think about gently and gradually increasing pressure on the shutter button, the same way you would trigger a rifle to reduce shake. I use a monopod quite often, and that makes a huge difference in sharpness.
Nice composition, and the colors and texture are pleasing to see. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment: Good idea to make this shot B&W. In addition to the other comments, I like the bit of sawdust in the foreground that seems to add to the effect of something going on. |

P&S Day 3 - CSIby JuliBocComment: Funny shot Juli B. The girl looks like she tired herself out building the sand pile LOL.
My eyes are drawn to the water, and my mind is calculating the depths by the colors. I am guessing 1.5 ft at the end of the wave, 4 ft out to the shallow sand bar or rock underwater, and about 20 ft where the nearest boat is running.
I feel that there is plenty of detail and sharpness in this shot for a P&S beach shot on a bright sunny day. I guess that we are sort of spoiled by our DSLR's.
I miss seeing that golden sand of the east coast beaches. |

Day 2 - monkey boxby GinaRothfelsComment: It's nice that you composed with the box in a box within a box. Freshmark is a name that I see with the vegetables that we pack in this area as well. |

Day 1 - man and muralby GinaRothfelsComment: Awesome interaction between the static mural and the dynamic man walking. Perfect timing and shutter speed, and good scene choice and composition as well. The 3d effect of the mural over the actual 3d wall parts is interesting, as well as the ground at the bottom with the rock and mortar strewn about. This is much more than just a snapshot. |

DAY 2by tpbremerComment: The "one eye stare" with the eye at the center, makes this shot. The cooler color edit also adds to the feel that you seemed to be wanting to produce. Good job. |

olddoor.jpgby sulamkComment: When I saw this, my first thought was that it would be more interesting if the door was open part way. That would add an element of mystery and adventure that would connect with the viewers better.
I like the linear elements in the composition. |

P&S Day 2 - Purple Gallinuleby JuliBocComment: Wow, Julie! This is a very nice shot for a P&S shot in a flag pond. I am impressed with the POV, and the overall composition. The detail in the bird is good too. Nice shooting. You are fortunate to have time and a good location to go bird hunting nearby. |

PSApril21 King of the walkby tnunComment: The B&W seems to be best for this shot. It would be busy in color. I would see opportunities for closer head shots with this nice looking animal. |
