sliceoflife4.jpgby icu1965Comment: This shot shows what a huge flood event you had at this location. Clean up is a job that I don't envy even a little bit in this case. At least this was not your primary residence. It is good that the place is still standing after all that water washing around it. The cross bracing in the foundation pilings may be what saved it from being washed down stream. I hope that things return to normal soon for all of you. |

Day 06 - Old Barnby KenComment: Very nice HDR to get the shadow detail in this one. My first thought was to wonder how it was lit before I read the details.
It is a very interesting scene, and worthy of the extra effort to photograph it so nicely. The light on, and so bright, in what appears to be mid day is sort of cool too. |

Day 7: Iron by bobonacusComment: Wow! Extreme DOF, Huge color dynamics, outstanding composition, and amazing balance in the patterns of repeating elements.
Only kiddin' : )
Actually it's a pretty cool look at one of the things in every home that we never think much about. |

Flowerby JeniYComment: Good job with the reds which seem to easily over saturate. Flowers are a source of never ending subject material for photos.
Nice DOF too. |

Boatby JeniYComment: Great! I like the contrasty dodge and burn look of this shot. It's not "flat" at all but there is still a lot of detail. |

Lassieby AliciaComment: These are pretty cool. I remember seeing one like the Lassie box, but didn't remember the paw prints around the edge. Thanks for the memory jog. The Singer machine box is interesting too. That's a crazy looking devil in the back.
Nice processing, and well framed to get the most out of the single shot without being cluttered looking. |

F I J I:P A R A D I S Oby hotpastaComment: When the water is this clear, riding the anchor pulpit is like riding in a fish bowl. It's one of my favorite things to do.
It's nice that you captured the edge of the reef as well as the big rocks in the background.
I wish you and your wife many more happy anniversary adventures. |
