I see that this was shot a few years ago. It looks like a tropical depression was in the Gulf when you took it, so I looked up the date, and sure enough, T S Enrique was in the area. The particular wave pattern, and the low "scud" clouds in the sky are a strong indication that a storm is offshore. I hope that it didn't ruin your trip.
The photo is cool too. The light is just about right to have the feel of the actual scene. I can almost hear the surf.

It seems that your images have become half photo and half art, created using your computer to get the image that you want to see. You are just too good at it. Your ability to create beauty in images has grown rapidly in the last year or two.
The saturation and sharpness in the subject works nicely with the overlaid background that you chose for it.

You seem to have a photo gold mine along your "fire trail" since you got the 100mm macro lens. You did a good editing job with this one by isolating the subject and yet keeping just enough by using the broken frame.

This is an interesting composition. Have you looked at it turned 1/4 turn counter clockwise. It would look like the light is supporting you.

I also like darker images. It would be easy to blow out the details in the buds in this shot, and keeping it dark holds the details nicely.
