I like the modified S curve in the wood, and being able to see the bottom of the shore line through the water in this. You did a nice job of creating a faux sunset glow with color.

It looks quite like the land of "OZ". At least that is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this. Nicely done. It must have been hazy for you to go with the B&W and high contrast.

I see that this was shot a few years ago. It looks like a tropical depression was in the Gulf when you took it, so I looked up the date, and sure enough, T S Enrique was in the area. The particular wave pattern, and the low "scud" clouds in the sky are a strong indication that a storm is offshore. I hope that it didn't ruin your trip.
The photo is cool too. The light is just about right to have the feel of the actual scene. I can almost hear the surf.

It seems that your images have become half photo and half art, created using your computer to get the image that you want to see. You are just too good at it. Your ability to create beauty in images has grown rapidly in the last year or two.
The saturation and sharpness in the subject works nicely with the overlaid background that you chose for it.
