Day 20 of 30 Flowers
I *think* these are Pearl Crescents, although there is a small chance they are Northern Crescents. I got bleary-eyed trying to figure it out last night ;-) The 2nd one was following the first one all over the place, which was fun to watch so I had to try a few shots of them.
This was taken in the yard at the animal shelter while I was waiting for dogs to be brought out for my photographing pleasure. Thus I had my 28-75 animal portrait lens on, which is not optimal for itty-bitty butterflies who won't let me get very close. So this is like a 400% crop, or something insane like that. I am rather surprised it came out so well! Three cheers for the workhorse lens :-)

PP - converted from RAW, cropped insanely, 2nd layer (Gaussian blur, dodged butterflies and clover, merged in multiply mode at 30% transparency), USM, added border, resized, sharpened with slight noise reduction. |

| At the range and shutter speed that you shot this, you certainly got a sharp image, even with all the crop. |
