That's a beautiful place, and you captured the essence of the season.

What perfect timing to get the three completely different poses in flight. I miss seeing that clear water and wading along the shoreline.

Ken, This is beautiful. I like the triangular frame of wood in this shot.

You have the golden touch for getting great bird shots, and this one is no exception from that norm.

Run! It's a 2 legged green-eyed stabber fly!
I like the way the light falls off toward the edges in this shot. The flash gives it sort of a look that you would get with a flashlight in the dark.

I know that you can't always be at the scene when the light is right, however, I feel that this would look better at the opposite time of day, when the sun is behind you for the shot. If this was an evening shot, a short time later, and the sky would even out, as well as possibly allowing you to get more detail in the rocks in the foreground.
Another option would be to shoot from a different angle, but that would mess up the composition, so you did what you could.
The 5D is an outstanding camera. Keep shooting and posting. You have a good attitude, and you see the picture that you want.
If you post the shooting info with the images, it will sometimes help with commenting to know the ISO, aperture and shutter speed for the shot.

Nice find! It looks like a 1960's version of Bonnie and Clyde's car.
I like the close up, wide angle perspective, and the faded color in this shot.

This may be a little better if the bottom is trimmed off a bit. That would direct the attention more to the subject and the sky above.
Having the limb in the corner adds to the photo.

This is an interesting item. You did a nice job with lighting for this shot. I feel that composition would be a little stronger if the "stem" went toward a corner of the image.
Again, lighting is excellent. It's difficult to light a bright metal item for a photo.

It's neat that there is no reflection of the yellow in the water. The blue makes the shot for me.
