As the Sun Setsby sherpetComment: It's like a good post card shot. This is a lovely scene, and you did a fine job of processing it. |

Late mooringby GregoryBComment: Cool stuff! It looks like spring tide, with the water over the deck of the dock in this shot. I like the way that brings the golden ripples right up into the foreground in the shot while keeping the texture off the metal dock surface showing through the water.
The pilings make for an interesting frame with the high point of view. I also like the color choice. |

The View (6)by karmatComment: I very much like the colors and the lay of the land in this shot. I also agree about the one branch right center being a bit distracting, but this isn't about perfection in these SOL challenges.
I am guessing that is steam flowing over the mountain from the plant that is in your town? It's a lovely view this time of year in any case. |

Manure Variationsby annigComment: Black snow? Even with the fertilizer in the foreground, the image is a beautiful little slice of America. You were right to see the lines in this. I like the way it sweeps my focus back and forth as I look over the image.
When I was a teen, we used to have running battles at night on our camping trips with the dried cow chips and the piles of cull tomatoes in the local pastures . |

House Paddockby GregoryBComment: I feel that you must have a wonderful place to live, from what I have seen in photos from Roz and you. You are so fortunate to live on the edge of the natural area.
Those eucalyptus trees are beautiful, but they are certainly messy when they shed leaves, bark, and limbs. They grow those here for pulp wood, but they are not a native tree here. |

Geese in Flightby annigComment: I like the way you did the border for this shot. I like seeing a big herd of birds take flight too, so this is twice nice for me. I am wondering if the B G behind the birds is an overlay, or if it is a hill that was there when you shot the original? |

Drummerby AliciaComment: Good job with composition, exposure, and with finishing the original shot to this. I can tell that he is definitely focusing on the sound too. |

Balcony Seatsby JuliBocComment: This is one of the few things that I miss about living in a city. The little Sony and your shooting skill, made for a good capture, and, everyone cooperated by sitting still for the exposure too. |

Work Studyby cryanComment: And she is a ham too LOL. You had great light for this shot, and the BG looks good too. I am happy that you both are still working. |
