I saw magpies for the first time a few of months ago in Montana. They are eye catching to watch when they fly. I couldn't get near enough to get a good shot of any of them.
I like the vignette you chose for this shot. It isolates the subject nicely without being distracting.

This is an excellent image Greg. It's hard enough to get a bee when they are not in the air. It looks like he is sharpening his beak in anticipation of diving into the nectar LOL.
I shot one very similar to this a couple of days ago. It's at the end of my portfolio images.

Roz, this is so clear that it looks as if Katee could just jump out of the computer screen. The tree and cloud for a background behind her do a lot for this shot. Cool pillow cover too.

I like the little "S" curve of color in the trees in the BG. A reshoot on a gorgeous blue sky day would be a very strong image.

Wow Roz, another of your fantastic macro's. You have great DOF and sharpness on the bug, and fine colors for BG as well, so it stands out nicely. I see that you shot this with flash, and maybe that is what I need to start doing for my close ups like this in order to get better DOF with smaller aperture settings.
The detail on the wing is excellent.

I think this is just fine. I like the detail in the building and my attention is drawn to what looks like a tall ship near the sun. I also like the way the light makes two lines that intersect at the "ship" on the horizon.
