Modest Butterfliesby JuliBocComment: That is pretty nice composition, with the two of them on damp Spanish moss. They must have been relatively small.
I understand your frustration with the close up filters. I have a few of those, and have never used them since my slide film shooting days long ago.
You did a good job with making something enjoyable to see with this. I looked a minute, but didn't find them in my identification site. |

Nearly Got Itby sherpetComment: It looks like Percy is a happy boy in this shot. I am happy that you found a good critter to help lift your spirits when you needed a boost. I can see that this was shot sort of late in the afternoon, but having very little shadow works nicely for this scene. |

Breakwaterby GermaineComment: You captured that unique west coast morning glow with this shot. I remember seeing it when I was in Mexico for the Baja race last Nov.
The lines, the flagpoles and all the reflections give this image lots of interest. It looks like there may be some birds over the flags in the BG, which is also nice. I try to include birds in my scenic shots too. |

Juvenile Magpieby GregoryBComment: I saw magpies for the first time a few of months ago in Montana. They are eye catching to watch when they fly. I couldn't get near enough to get a good shot of any of them.
I like the vignette you chose for this shot. It isolates the subject nicely without being distracting. |

Vegie Garden by GregoryBComment: These look great! I like your water system. Bell pepper, squash, tomato plants, onions, all nice looking plants in there. Now I want a salad. |

Beelineby GregoryBComment: This is an excellent image Greg. It's hard enough to get a bee when they are not in the air. It looks like he is sharpening his beak in anticipation of diving into the nectar LOL.
I shot one very similar to this a couple of days ago. It's at the end of my portfolio images. |

8-nov slice of life. wot tha!!by rozComment: Roz, this is so clear that it looks as if Katee could just jump out of the computer screen. The tree and cloud for a background behind her do a lot for this shot. Cool pillow cover too. |

Groveby davidwComment: I like the little "S" curve of color in the trees in the BG. A reshoot on a gorgeous blue sky day would be a very strong image. |

Standing Guardby sherpetComment: You are having a good time with Percy for a model. I am happy that you are at the beach. |
