House Wren in a Sweetgum Treeby MaryOComment: I also like that you kept the whole branch in this shot to give the little guy a bit of environment. I agree that the bokeh is definitely nice. |

Under the Treeby SaraRComment: Wow, that's great. The bird is a nice little perk too, and it adds another little dimension to the effect. |

IMG_0567-roos.jpgby jomariComment: That's a nice wildlife shot. I understand about the cropping. Groups of animals spread out like this, and it makes it difficult to get a tight shot on them without leaving out the ones at the sides. The wide pan crop works nicely for this. I am surprised how they stand out in the similar colored grassland. It looks very dry there. |

Simulated-Wildflower.jpgby jomariComment: That's a sweet firework shot. I like the way the colors changed, and that's pretty steady for handholding 1/2 sec. |

Mrs. Cardinalby patio127Comment: Sharp and beautiful. Love the little snowflakes, and I also sort of like the little twigs crossing the bird in this. It gives it a dose of reality. |

Another Robinby SaraRComment: It's interesting that the perspective in this shot makes the bird look like it is broadside to us, and very short, with no tail LOL. Everyone is having fun with this shot. Technicals are excellent, and light is perfect. |

Pine Grosbeakby stargazer05766Comment: This is a superb shot of this little bird. It's interesting to me that the shape of the shadow of the little twig on the bird looks almost like a pinstripe.
I have never seen one of these in the wild. They do not come this far south. |

Botaurus stellarisby GiorgioBaruffiComment: This bird looks similar in physical build to the night herons that are here in Florida. You had excellent light for this, and the sharpness is very good for a flight shot. It's a good image. |
