Eye in the Skyby scooter97Comment: This has a great blue sky, and nice detail in the flight feathers. I spotted one of these turkey buzzards a while back that was totally mixed up black and white.

Lake-Wendouree-017.jpgby jomariComment: There is a pond near here where birds roost on a small island in the center of the lake, as these are doing. Ibis are cool looking birds, and make great subjects. The angled line of birds make this shot interesting to me. |

Springbok Crossingby geinafetsComment: It is fortunate that you were there to see this event, and also that you were at the place where the two trees could be used in the shot. They sort of make the shot by emphasizing the flat and wide open expanse of plain going on to the featureless horizon. Magnificent view.
It's a little dark on my monitor, however, that gives it an exotic mysterious magical element. |

Pheasantby SaraRComment: The light reflecting off the breast feathers is a treat. These are very beautiful birds, and you have captured that with this shot. |

Winter Coatby JedusiComment: Nice image! I like the way that you framed this shot to exclude the nose in order to accent the hair, eyes, and ears. The horses here in Florida never look like this. I also like the B&W contrasty look that adds such texture to the hair. |

Morning Mist in Algonquin.jpgby crissyaComment: Of your landscapes, I think that I like this one best. The several different levels of light in the mist make for a very dramatic looking scene. The angled shoreline with the windswept looking trees hint of a very stormy past in this place. Nice use of the available compositional elements in this shot. |

Moonriseby cginoComment: I like the honesty of this shot. I was always curious about why people put old tires on top of house trailers. Maybe it helps repel UFO's? : )
Nice moon shot. I think that I would try to rub out the power line, but it is still a nice snapshot. |

kookaburra-002.jpgby jomariComment: Nice feather details in this shot. Some wild critters do all right when they mix with our civilization, and some don't. It looks like this one has adapted pretty well. The layers of feathers are interesting. |

Robin Without Branchby SaraRComment: It's a beautiful shot, almost like a good studio shot. Are you sure you didn't pay this little guy to pose for you?
Your robins are quite different looking from the local ones. Here they are much larger, and more like brick red, a lot darker. |
