Eubucco bourcieriiby RgarciaComment: The islands have some very beautiful birds. When traveling in the Bahamas, I was struck by how tame the local birds seem to be. That makes for some great photo opportunities, like this one. |

Flightby mwwbackComment: This might have done nicely in the "Tilted Horizon" challenge. It's a very nice shot, and looks like a foggy morning at one of the rest stops on Hy 75. The focus on the bird is excellent for the conditions, and there is just enough of the sawgrass to give it some scale and a location. It looks like this one was making a turn to a landing. |

Living Lawn Ornamentby KelliComment: Wow!
Only the bit of green over the bird's head distracts from this being a perfect shot. Beautiful, even with the little dash of bokeh there. |

Magpie.jpgby jomariComment: This is an interesting shot to me because we do not have these where I live. They seem very similar to the local "gackle" which is all black, but about the same size and shape. This has to be a very difficult bird to photograph well because of the total black and white in it's feathers.
One of my pet birds was making the sound of a back-up alarm on the local garbage truck this morning. |

Now thats an old rear-endby digitalpinsComment: Cool shot. It looks like a 62 or 63 Ford (Falcon) Ranchero. I hope that it was awaiting restoration. I see that it had the 244, 260 or 289 V3 too. |

IMG_1809.jpgby drydocComment: A Tucker Auto? The center headlight turned with the steering which was way ahead of it's time. The air cooled engine was great too. Message edited by author 2009-02-16 23:54:11. |

22-dec 08 wotever. a bit'v a worryby rozComment: LOL, Nice perspective shot. You will find that birds that have an attitude have no concept of size. If they don't try to fly, then they have no fear of anything or anyone. I hope that Charlie becomes all that you hope that he will be. Budgies make the sweetest of little companions. |

Bridge-Gullsby jomariComment: This is a nice eye level shot, and the eyes are attention getting in the shot. If you crop down to the horizon of the lake, the white building in the BG disappears, and the line of birds pop right out of the resulting pan shot. I noticed that as I scrolled down to make the comment.
I see that they like this perch LOL I wouldn't want to use that handrail. : P

I feel that the image would have more impact if it were cropped to put the bird on the left side of the frame, looking toward the center of the image.
it's nice to see what these birds look like. We don't have them here in Florida to my knowledge. |
