Well...... It looks kinda like a horn, but I don't think that the screw is a period item LOL. If you get a 3 inch screw, you can have a longhorn.

A lot of the late 40's early 50's cars looked pretty similar to this one. Is that a Chrysler? It's a good snapshot.

That's good detail, esp for full aperture. I am guessing that you were about 20 ft from the subject? I also like prime lenses, and use a lot of the older Nikon glass. My fav for birding so far is the manual focus 300 f4.5.

That's a nice candid for such a big group of people. It's good that you had your long zoom handy. All the beach gear in front makes for a more interesting shot.
