Cool processing to accent all the little details of this critter's skin. These things are so fearsome looking, but actually are not aggressive at all. I used to have a couple as pets.

This shot allows the viewer to study the interaction going on between the players in it. You don't really see all the subtle details of that social aspect of this type confrontation when you are watching it live. Cool shot.

This has excellent bokeh and sharpness of detail in the subject. I can't say that I have ever seen one of these in the wild.
There seems a lot of empty space at the top, but that also allows for that great bokeh to work it's magic.

I am happy for you that you got to shoot some close up shots of this little guy. He must be pretty small because that looks like 1" square tubing that he is sitting on. I saw similar birds in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas. There are a lot of whip-poor-wills there too. The w-wills lay their eggs right on a rock at the beach. It seems pretty strange to see that, but I guess that the sun helps keep the eggs warm that way.

I don't think that anyone could come up with a cooler name for this little guy. This is another shot with no faults at all, and with an interesting subject too.

This is a superb shot, with the water reflecting the light up under the bird so nicely illuminating the exceptional detail in the feathers.
That f5.6 iso 100, SS 1/1,000 is right on the "Sunny 16" rule when you do the math.

That Charlie is starting to give Katee a run for the spotlight LOL.
You do some of the most imaginative stuff with your photoshop skills, not to mention shooting excellent shots to begin with.

If your P&S gives you a choice, you can use incandescent or tungsten W/B to get a nice blue sky at night. This one looks good in the tone that it has, but it is not evident that it is a night shot. I like the willow branches. I always have trouble deciding what to focus on for this type shot when I am shooting with my SLR.

This is a lovely scene. It looks sort of like a well done model railroad scene. I would guess that camera shake is more evident than noise in this shot. My feelings about the quality is that it looks fine. The natural bit of haze in the air may have you thinking that there is noise in the shot.
