This one has lovely color and detail. The daylight is just right. I wonder if she gets tired of you shooting photos of her? I am happy that you two take time to do things and be together like this.

Point n' shoot cams seem to do a fine job with macro shooting. This shot has good detail.

Nice scene. I like the great DOF that the P&S cams can get because of their small sensors. This is a good example of that.
That place certainly looks barren and dry.

That's very sharp and nice. The color of the deer makes it stand out against the background nicely.

These critters are usually very skittish. You lucked up to find this one so close and did a nice job getting the portrait. I have only seen a couple of them in this area, and they were already running when I spotted them.

Otters are definitely the clowns of the animal world. They are so at ease in the water, and funny when they are out of it.
You did good to get this shot of one having lunch.

This is a nice example of the right DOF. Your 28-75 has an aperture ring, so it should work with your ext tubes. You can stack the tubes and get even tighter on small subjects. The older manual Nikkor AI lenses are great with ext tubes, and a lot less expensive than the new lenses.
I like the way the DOF puts the focus right on it's head in this shot.

This shot looks very good just as you have it here. With white birds, I find that I need to shoot about 1.5 stops underexposed to get good detail in the feathers. This leaves the BG pretty dark looking but it seems the only way to get the birds. They are just so very reflective and such a small bit of the overall image, that they tend to fool the camera's metering system.
The reflection in the water is nice in this.

I think that you made the right decision to get back into the car, even though they may not have been upset about you being there.
