RADIANCE IN BLOOMby eyeartComment: These things are always a treat for a camera. I like the different point of view for this one. |

bite meby daisydavidComment: The eye contact is the strong point in this shot. Nicely done, and B&W helps keep it simple. |

Prowlby cginoComment: This is a fine panning shot. The overall motion blur makes Mr.Tiggs' head and eyes grab your attention. B&W keeps the distraction that color would cause under control too. He looks like a content kitty. |

4381by jdannelsComment: This is nice! It must have been pretty hazy over the mountains for the moon to not overpower the whole scene with it's brightness. This is all nice and sharp. It took me a minute to figure out that there is a plateau below you in this. At first I thought that it was just a rock that you were standing on, then I saw the details like the three posts on it,. |

Egretsby PennyStreetComment: The texture of the rocks give this one some texture to look at. I like the reflections of the birds in the water in this. |

A Ray of Sunshineby Luci11eComment: Hi Lorie! I am not sure what went wrong with this in the voting, but I would have given it at least a 5.5 or so. I have found that keeping the subject very simple helps with scoring here at DPC. That may have been the situation with this one.

After the Hurricane by vawendyComment: The hot color works for the DPC voters I see. I like this too, for composition as well as the strong color. Congrats on your new ribbon! |

Holyoke, MAby PennyStreetComment: What an interesting mix of stuff. This image certainly has an energy related theme. The pipeline in the foreground, all the power wires, the greenhouse, the solar water heater, the little energy efficient car and the Texaco sign are all connected with energy. |

abandonedby retakeComment: At first, I wondered about the "straight on" POV, then realized that it was the best angle for the theme. It's a nice take on something that is a universal kids thing that we never seem to make much fuss over. |

car shammyby retakeComment: It's cool how shooting macro can make ordinary objects look so different from what we would normally see.
Strong side light to get shadows might give this little scene more bite. The even lighting tends to "flatten out" the subject. The shadows from side lighting could boost the perception of depth and texture. |
