I like the composition and that the combo of elements in the fore, mid, and background all have details to see. The sky cleaned up nicely from the original.

It's nice the way the clouds usually form over the coast, and leave the sky open over the water. You did your trademark thing to those rocks in the foreground. That must be some slippery footing to get positioned for this shot.

You certainly know how to show off a dog. The dark BG helps a lot to put the spotlight on the textures in all that curly hair. They must be rare, I don't believe I have ever seen one.

This was a good find, and you got a very nice result in the finished image. The light in the foreground seems a bit odd, like an off camera flash lighting the foreground and front of the barn, or maybe it is HDR and just processed that way.

That's a lot of water on the move! I like that you got the little misty rainbow in the center fall.

This is beautiful! It's great that we can all have cameras that do this nice of a job around all the time now. The even light suits her nicely.

I also noticed the sharpening. This may be from a setting in your camera menu. If you have your camera set to max sharpening, you can't undo it in processing, but you can always shoot mild and sharpen in processing.
I like the way that the reflection is showing the tree on the island while the dark background hides the actual tree.

The low angle lighting and the reflections are sweet in this one. The water lines on the trees have a lot to do with how this photo effects me as a viewer. It's a very relaxing or soothing photo to look at. Maybe it's because I am quite at home in places like this, and I know how it looks, feels, and smells there.

This shot deserves the ribbon!
Thanks for the tip about quicker shooting. I have noticed that in many of the storms in this area, that the bolts come at fairly regular intervals. For instance, if I count seconds between 1st and 2nd strikes, I have found that the 3rd strike will occur roughly at the same interval. I then adjust shooting to match that. If the strikes are coming at 15 sec intervals, I wait 12 sec or so after a strike to open the shutter. Sometimes you miss a bolt that comes in the interim, and have to restart the countdown, but the technique helps on the average.
