Fowl Balanceby LaMasComment: You've got to love any mallard that practices Tai Chi . .
Nice spread of the wing, perhaps the head could have been lightened a little more ? |

On Golden Pondby MaryOComment: I do have a soft spot for Canada geese. :- )
Nice water colour and ripples - if I was being fussy I would probably prefer it to be recropped (if possible) so he was looking into the shot - rather than out of it, but that's just personal taste |

Oriole against grey skyby aznymComment: Wow - a Golden Oriole - very uncommon on these shores.
I actually quite like the starkness of this picture with the grey sky, dead tree trunk and splash of colour on the bird but to actually score well you really needed a lot more bird and a lot less sky. Pity you couldn't have followed it to where it landed and do a close up :- ) |

West Coast Wildlifeby MelethiaComment: Well it ain't pigeons . . but I kinda like the shot.
Good tonal range, nice DoF, good crowd of gulls and a pleasing sky - not to mention the great diagonal.
Yep - works for me. |

"The Fog Flight"by mrbig65Comment: I think if you are going to have only one single vertical in a shot it's probably important to get it vertical . .
Otherwise a tighter crop and using the rule of thirds this might actually be an interesting shot in it's own right - but it's going to be facing some pretty tough opposition |

Hiding...by tinkie2010Comment: Lol - that's the sort of hiding place my dog would choose. " If I can't see you - then you can't see me " never mind the huge body sticking out in all directions :- ) |
