Lovely eyes, and nice colour in his feathers. I think the close crop actually works well to make his stare even more intense. |

I wonder if it would be worth doing a little spot editing on the Bee just to make him stand out a little more ? Bring out those lovely orange/yellow stripes.
You did well to capture him though - they are a complete pain to get in focus as they just keep moving . . |

with the crop I think I would be tempted to keep it as a square crop - but make it smaller and move it up the post so you just get the shape at the top ? |
