Jedusi editby MelethiaComment: The little girls outfit and classical lines of the fountain lend themselves perfectly to this type of shot. |

boyby timfythetooComment: Really strong shot Tim - excellent.
Unfortunately portraits rarely seem to do well in FS's - in another challenge this would have been a very different score indeed. |

Feetby MelethiaComment: I love that coloured glass wall.
To be honest I'm a little disappointed to red that this was long exposure - Iwas really hoping you had managed to capture that most elusive of shots - a single leg hopping across a public area, looking for a single shoe, or perhaps a partner. Did you know that legs are very faithful creatures and will usually stay together as a pair for their whole life ?
This particular leg is obviously on the trail of the other leg - but I don't think it will work out you know - one of them prefers smeakers and jeans while the other looks all togethether more formal, and while they do say that opposites attract, in this case it just ain't gonna happen.

Bikes at Beachsideby MelethiaComment: Cool shot - a few layers might add even more to this - but then I'm into layers at the moment :- ) |

Family by MelethiaComment: Yay !! we both got exactly the same on our 'commenters score' :- )

Coming and Goingby GermaineComment: Love the opposing dynamics in this shot.
The dark, heavy sky and the bright colours of the boats standing proud against the darkness.
The two boats moving in opposite directions across the frame.
One boat sail powered - one steam powered
One moving at speed - one stationary.
One boat working and purposeful - the other a leisure boat in no hurry (as it's name suggests)
One heading out to sea - the other back to land.
So much happening in such a small picture - and I think the heavy muted colours of the sky and background help to draw the viewers eye into the centre of the shot where all the (understated) action is happening.
This is a really strong and wonderfully understated shot - Very nice. |
