This is amazing, even compelling, portraiture. The angle, the gloss on her fur especially at the top of her head, the eyes, the expression really "show" this dog. A good life.

Magnificence here. Not sure about the cropping- even cropping just at the top of the ears improves it in my whatever opinion, and gets the tip of the tail, part of a great dynamic diagonal, pointing at the top corner. It also emphasizes the horse's lift off from the ground. Such a great capture of your horse, I hope you play with it some more. (No quarrels with the horse).

Must have been very limited DOF to get just the leaves in focus - the patterns are great, and the gloss is good; the two out of focus blooms are lighted in a wonderfully similar way, and the rock background is great. A slightly different crop might have made this work better, or a different angle to give a compositional punch. (Never tired of photographing trilliums).
