Yellow Papilio Troilusby TonyTComment: Probably the most interesting caterpillar face. Glad he made it to the top ten. Will check him out at the bugsite. (Any developments?) |

The Christmas Cardby SandyPComment: Love the muted colours combined with the Xmas lights, a rare time of day into night. |

Captured From Another Timeby SandyPComment: Really works for me. Been by this photo several times and I wonder why it should be so striking, maybe it is more than just the essence of the 40's, or maybe the essence of the 40's was significant, the generation of woman who took on tough war time jobs and responsibilities, for whom there was no looking back... Maybe she should replace FDR on the American dime (whose profile was modeled by a female sculptor), and FDR replaced the Statue of Liberty, all a grand tradition. (That's my ten cents). |

Going to Churchby StuckOnTheFarmComment: Amazing sense of the prairies in Ontario. Wouldn't mind another shot of this sometime. And more story... Sounds like the cathedral itself had been procrastinated. |

Cold and frostyby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: I very much like the tonality and elements (shapes, lines) - just how it is is how it should be - something I don't often see. However I do think it is not perfectly balanced, and it may be the angle of view as suggested below, or a matter of cropping. |

A path through the pastby ajalewisComment: One of my favourites, i.e. "mirabile." (I'm not big on technique[yet?], but I think I can see why it wasn't in the top 10, but for me it actually showed something and gave great pleasure). Not sure about the "past" aspect: the path leads to the vanishing point, to the great beyond where we are all headed. |
