Very fine composition of 3 distinct and interesting elements. (Possibly the high contrast of the orange in the sky with the deep blue in the water is what bothers you about the blue; basically it is the textures and silhouette that make this photo work for me, not so much the colour).

Boy you did get hammered. I thought this very interesting (haven't reviewed the top 2/3 entries yet). On the one hand it might be too subtle for the many (always enjoy thinking that); on the other, your desaturation may miss a little of the possible finesse of more complicated BW conversion. (Looked at your photos on profile page and your colour photos are all spot on). Just a suggestion. The composition, subject and framing are really fine.
