Taken this weekend at Deer Creek, Lassen National Forest. This was 6 side by side shots on a tripod overlapping approximately 25% on each shot. I bracketed each shot with 8 exposures so that I could choose the best exposure in post. I chose a medium f stop so as to maximize dof while maintaining sharpness. Still, not as sharp as I would like. After copying all 6 shots onto a new background I blended with a combination of layer mask, overlay dodge and burn, levels and curves. Yes, that is a feeder creek on the right.

Thanks for including your steps. You put it all together very well - I would not have known this was a composition of photos. I love the black and white contrasts on the rocks!

I agree. Excellent location, and you did a fine job of capture and processing.

You did a lot of work for this with a great result. Too bad screens are so small. Perhaps you could crop a little from the (less interesting) right side (but keep the feeder creek).

Yikes. Clearly at this size we can't do justice to your shot. As it is, the white vertical thing at the right might be a feeder stream or one heck of a distraction. As a whole, I can't quite find a balance, possibly because the vanishing point is too close to the centre though I certainly enjoy looking at this, and like the BW.

You did a great job stitching this together. I like the b&w too. I like how the water is coming from your left and then straight out the back. Well done!
