Red Maple Leaf.jpgby tnunComment: Appreciate the comments: I did play around with this and the whole pic to make more of a pop, but I kept losing the swirly water that tinky2 noticed and which I liked better than having some kind of pop. |

Nov 10 - Footpathby hajekaComment: I certainly applaud the effort to make something out of nothing! Nice DOF in rule of thirds. (Say, you're not practicing duotones?) Message edited by author 2007-11-10 20:56:35. |

11 - Tugboat & Bridgesby ErikVComment: I also like the colour and detail in this, but I find the upper bridge rather too strong an element, though it certainly serves to inform us out of towners. |

Nov 9 - In the parkby hajekaComment: Lots of lines! Composition might be improved by cropping the top to eliminate the partially wet concrete and weeds/grasses which distract me, at least, from enjoying the lovely spaghetti effect of the water falling. |

Nov-10-Img_0086.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Good colour and mood; stripes on water nicely reinforce the horizontal. (I know nada about postprocessing, but it would be great if you could bring out the treelines of the first two landmasses). |

Morro Rockby tinky2Comment: Love the reflections in the water of the Rock and dark clouds, light on rock, and how you got it to dwarf the hills. (At first I wondered about the balance of the photo -it's a sickness in me - but the whole seems to create a tension or movement to the right to supply/imagine what lies beyond, led by the diagonal cloud reflection and the shoreline. (And I'm very glad to be informed). |

Across the Lakeby cogeroxComment: Nice tones. It is the reflections that pull you into this picture; wonder if you decreased the contrast a tad on the land part it might make it a better foil for the reflections, though I do like that part in itself. |

Water and benchby cogeroxComment: The interest here, for me, is the way the inversion distinguishes between trees and 'civilised' objects and kind of blobs the latter in the reflections. Tend to agree with ErikV except I like the illusion of the watcher/viewer's bench in a kind of dreamland with its feet in the water. |
