Pretty Streamby VeioletsComment: Like this a lot. And do crop those sides, especially so I can see if I truly truly disagree with trevytrev about the white expanse, because it seems to work very well for me, balancing all the activity beyond. Delicious curves. (Look forward to more from the FZ18 - not too bad at ISO 200). T |

Americanaby VeioletsComment: Very much like the way you show this Americana - good angle, drawing the eye down and towards the deteriorating porch and compensatory accumulata which haply abut the flag and period bench. I think you need the space on the left, but maybe minus the corner of the unseen window. Bright white pillar is good visually and symbolically. Your framing is distracting, though maybe intended to augment the lines in the picture, but I don't know what to suggest. Oh, and I can't tell that there is light coming from behind the flag - it looks just flattish grey. |

Me, 1983by taljComment: Neat, sweet picture. (A little more pp and it should do well on dpc, in spite of being a small child and a dog!) |

Escape 1907 by The_DentistComment: The combination of your BW tones and perspective do loving justice to the subject. |

Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment: I am very struck by the effect of the low cloud blanket almost pressing down on the main building and its reflection in the puddle which suggests to me it might also be pressing up on it ready to carry it away towards the vanishing point. A sense of things going in that direction.
Edit: very effective perspective. Message edited by author 2008-02-06 01:31:10. |

Chaosby Bruce_the_RobertComment: First thought: this could be anywhere. We all ride around in cars and sooner or later pass this scene. Second thought: just enough detail to justify scanning the countryside. Third thought: why do we take these pictures? |

week-4.jpgby LanndonKaneComment: Maybe a bit much - that grille is something else, maybe worthy to speak more for itself. However, I love to see things like this that really push the envelope. |
