Week 4 - Marion Harborby CapeSailComment: First thought is that one gets up early for a shot like this, and sees in a wonderfully different light: the boat is dark and graceful on the still water while the yachts are moored in the distance, a bare thought or suggestion, and right before us at our feet the shore and a convenient ladder to which is tied the boat in which we might or might not motor to one of the yachts. Second thought is that the dark outer frame is a good foil for this mostly light picture and brings out the boat, though I am thinking of it as a wider matting should it be printed and framed. The faint details all on the horizon make this picture, pull us out. |

Breath's Entrance (catching barflies)by raishComment: Ah. While you sleep in Finland, your fame has spread high and low, blue and brown(ish). I haven't done the math, but I hope my vote is not responsible for your failure to brown again. T |

Breath's Entrance (catching barflies)by raishComment: This is of course brilliant and eminently commentable. The obviousness of the reference, the dogged faithfulness to the uber technique of blur, and the laid on thick delineation of the subject testify to the high standards of dpc. The stunningly coordinated frame has much to teach us about good presentation. Such earnestness and aesthetic integrity should be rewarded and hopefully inspire us all to avoid lighthandedness, offhandedness and sheer disdain in the future. 10 |

River Lightby JMartComment: This quite appeals to me, as if the river and the fog were singing. (Thanks for laughing at Average Joe... T) |

Week 6: One American Centerby WalesPComment: Deceptively simple. Excellent job of emphasizing the buildings by the strong contrasts within them, and setting them off with just enough of the pale cloud textured sky. |

Art Feeds Us...by pawdrixComment: Very cool and full of interest visually and content wise. The BW tones in the main subjects work very well. |
