Krystalby KelliComment: Beautiful all the way. Love the story and just the way the picture is, but I know nothing of portrait photography, just that I like the subtle quality of the light painting your model's features, which seems to fit the story of just emerging from braces/youth. |

Safe harbor for Ducky Pirate!by drydocComment: Ah, Steve, you have a way with the lasses. And you carry a little duckie in one pocket and an assortment of duckie hats in the other? |

Ducky Airbagsby colorcarnivalComment: Oooh, great title. Just tickled that you and Steve seized the day and finished side by side, though the side by side could be a little higher. |

Morning Peopleby QuigleyComment: You have a great cast of characters, even robotman getting his daily v's. Without reading your notes and comments, I can see that this picture does exactly what it was meant to do: please me enormously well after I finished laughing. (Yah, sometimes good to air out the comments too). |

trees with moonby tnunComment: Thanks voters and commenters. Especially to JuliBoc. And to bassbone and basssman7 for their responses to my pms. ( DrAchoo acknowledged my 1/2 second but didn't think it was an obvious enough long exposure, and I may have to agree, although the obvious is not high on my list of desiderata). Jac has responded by telling me how to take the same picture at a longer exposure (ISO 100, f 2.8) which indeed I may try the next time it comes up, although I expect some noise, and this was a minimal editing challenge, and the best (most noiseless) moon I have ever shot, and I doubt this would have happened had I not tried for the longest exposure via f8 and ISO 50.
Okay, so I enjoyed the presumption of the higher end camera users, as well as the many submissions that exploited the possibilities of the challenge way more than mine. |

The Power of the Dark Sideby bobnospumComment: Works perfectly on my probably too bright monitor. Love the simple composition and the bright red against the dark green and the black. |
