victdp.jpgby IraklisComment: Pretty good shot from the hip. Those tiles are really something. The man looks very ready to shift off the edge of the bench - is it from fear that someone may come along and sit on the bench, or is just the unease created by the colour? |

ildp.jpgby IraklisComment: Don't know what to say. This is amazing. Limited palette, sort of "crowned" by the reddish glare on the guy's bald spot, the subtle light and shadow still allowing the near prisonlike complex of grids their full force, and then the tiny bit of texture detail on the white tiles. Man going forth to darkness. |

Lovebirds No. 2by GermaineComment: Delightful. Trudging man, more whimsical comfortably thighed woman agreeably in hand, making their way amidst the solidly built up trappings of the seaside with mountains even in the near beyond. A lone seagull has almost approached them. |

yes,i keep crying on by cutoutComment: Had meant to comment on this, but it so speaks for itself. (I have already quoted/linked this in/to/with another comment on a stark bw picture called brides or bridal by someone but cannot for the life of me find it). |

The fire withinby hanserikComment: This is very beautifully done - delicate hand with your twist and zoom. The vortices convey what I imagine to be the chakral energies. Congratulations on an excellent personal best. |

Oppressive Ennuiby xianartComment: This was the one that really stuck in my mind after an admittedly brief perusal of the entries. It wasn't the Sartre (though I loved skewsme's link), it was the relentless topiary! You found the right angle and colour treatment to bring it on home. |

Once.....by JeniYComment: I found this most moving, immediately, and without thinking. Your title (which could as well have been 'once' without the periods) speaks simply but extremely well without naming. |

Week 39.jpgby salmiakkiComment: I think I agree with the Zeus, although this is a great find and I appreciate the tall expanse. Beautiful tale. |

pillarsby LevTComment: Stunning. We can read whatever into the shadows between the columns and still not know the mind of the suited man. |
