School kids at an outing, playing in the courtyard at the Saalburg Museum.

Hard to see in B&W, I realize, but they had little red bags - I have no idea what is in them. The young man on the left of the photo would drop his as the teacher yelled "Go!" and the rest of the class ran.

What a fun shot!!! And the flare not only adds texture, time and place, but is like another child, running and playing in the courtyard. And the kid on the left, is he playing with a yo-yo I cannot see?

As usual your candids amaze me. This photo instantly evokes memories and feelings of childhood. It has a wonderful sense of realism about it which is maybe why it so easily takes me back all those years.

The boy on the left really sparks my interest. What is he doing, what is he looking at? At first I thought he was just left out of the fun which all of a sudden made the shot look very sad, but on closer inspection he definitely seems to have some sort of role in what's going on, perhaps part of the game they are clearly playing.

Wonderful shot that I keep finding details in the longer I look at it!

I like this very much - evokes the same sort of feeling as the shots of the little girl that we took in St Peter's square.

What a joyous image...I like some of the disconnected shadows as you caught them mid air. 'Isaac' to the left really is something...

Feels like it's from a whole other era. One thing that hasn't changed so much over the centuries, is the exuberance of youth.

Immediately sparks the memory of being let out of school at the end of the day. (Or released from a museum trip). This was a serious joy.

I'm such a fan of legs in stop-action. I like the mix of their shadows with the line almost perfectly horizontal, created by the building behind them.

hehe... Isaac Newton : ) Ed's right though, he does play an integral part of the whole composition. He's the outsider, he doesn't run with the masses, he's a bit quirky and a little left of centre. He writes poetry and finds beauty were others don't see it... hmm, a young posthumous perhaps!: )

This oozes of energy, sunshine and youthful exuberance!

Nice one Deb! : )

I like your processing of this, just enough weight in the shadows, and just enough bang in the light; it's all made, of course, by the young Isaac Newton to image left.

What a gorgeous shot of the carefree laughter of children. I love the slight amount off flare, it adds a whole different feel to this image than if it was missing. Looks like the kids were having fun.
