Conjuror, prestidigitator... A lot of the energy in this photo is conceptual: we wonder that the natural world can produce such a wonder and at the same time think this must have been spawned by some genious of science fiction or horror films. And yet there is the energy of other pelicans in various more familiar postures. And all set against the innocent pastel shades of sea and sky. Oh yes, this is a gem.

Oh, I think foster kitty is happy where she/is, warm and safe with lots to study out the window. Contrast of kitty and window view makes this so much more than a nice kitty picture, and we are led to contemplate through his/her eyes. Good positioning of him/her at left.

This struck me at once when I gave a look see at some of the entries. The textures pulse/vibrate as we try to apprehend what is before our eyes, the illusion of not quite seeing in bright light. I hope brilliant isn't too obvious a comment.
