Chain in the rainby bjoernComment: Great diagonal composition. I like the detail in the focused link - there is a lot to look at here. Good DOF and minimalism created by the stark background.
This doesn't look like it has had a B&W conversion to me - just a very good reflection of a grey old day.

White Peacock Bugby MelonMusketeerComment: Nice capture Waddy. Detail and toning on the butterfly is excellent. My only down point, I suppose, is the harsh light on the leaf to the right drawing my eye away from the butterfly. Maybe a bit of selective S & H in photoshop. |

European Cabbage White (Pieris rapae)by patio127Comment: Hi Pat - beautiful colour in the flowers. The butterfly seems a little blown out to me with the reflection of the sun off the top of it's wings. Great detail on the underside though and nice DOF with that big lens. |
