I love Michael's expression. I mentioned on your first photo that the faces didn't have much separation from the surroundings, but in this one there is. My attention goes directly to his face and there is enough contrast to keep the focus there.

I love each photo, but the two smaller ones are not working for me as part of the overall composition. I guess it is because I want to see that beautiful mallard with the back lighting up close :) I don't get the idea that this was all one scene from these three shots. That might not have been your goal, but it seems like it should be (to tell the story of these ducks in 3 photos).

Beautiful work, I love the textures and colors. Those streaks of paint with daubs of blue on the ends are so intriguing. Great eye and very well composed.

I cannot see the head that you speak of at all, but that doesn't matter, I definitely get the personification feeling from it. The "scratchy" lines look like a horrible stitching job. I love the dichotomy of this image with the board breaking up the two sides. I'm looking forward to more of your work.

Great composition...I love the shape of the rock in the foreground. This is such a well balanced photo in color, tone and mood. Everything works together to tell the story. I also love the HDR processing, it looks so natural. You are going to turn me into a fan of HDR!

I like what you've done with the whites to boost the contrast. I actually really like flat snow shots with little contrast, but this one is different and very bold. I like it much better this way.
