checkered universeby shutterflyComment: I like this as an abstract piece of work. I would like to see the largest checkerd dot, with sharp focus all the way around, for a focal point. My eye wanders too quickly and gets distracted. Not gonna do that great because of the abstractness, but I like it still |

Crystal Clearby larimarieComment: Nice idea. This doesn't hold alot of interest in it. It looks like a very large DOF would be needed to capture everything. The water in the plate "looks" in focus and then everything else is not. Not sure if that is water above, but is distracting. Hte plate is cut off, and the cloth is off-white. More experimenting |

Solitudeby sunflowerComment: Good rule of thirds and subject. A polarizer to cut back some of the blown areas on the water would have worked well. The focus is a bit soft, need sharper focus on the subject to make it stand out more. |

Pink flower with raindropsby zookoffComment: I really like the colors on here. THe focus is off for me. It almost appears that the green leaf is sharper than the rest of the flower and drops of water. Good job of framing it well, too |

Water Funby AshezzComment: I really like the idea and execution appears to have come out right, but the focus and DOF is way off. It is also framed well. |

snowby DieHappyComment: Not sure if this is intentional, but it is not very pleasing to the eye. Hard to make out details at all. |

Can It Be Learned?by ahazeComment: Composition is good. Focus, color, and sharpness are very good. I like the lighting also, with the shadows faint and not overpowering.
I do see some kind of artifact in the upper left. I would like to see the books more evenly spaced in the frame as it is set up. One corner of the book is out of frame on the left. Evenly spaced I mean throughout, like the top standing book an equal distance from the edges, etc. I think it is a bit better than 5.131 (is average), but the specific challenge may have affected that, with many people not getting the gist of it. |

Mom, are you gonna talk forever?by kavamamaComment: Very good focus, lighting, and color. Without the title I would not know what this means, but it is a well done photo technicallly. Maybe with the mother on the phone in the background a bit blurry would put across the point bettter |

traveling through space for ever..and ever..and ever.by camelotnorthComment: Very much has to be a telescope shot. Looks like the cover of a space mag. Of course nothing is in tight focus and does not need to be either. Is that a real comet going through or an airliner or something going over. Very nice work. I can imagine that these are particularly hard to photograph. |
