This would have been much better if you had included the sandbox too. And a cow. DNMC :)

I can't hear the horn, I certainly don't see a shoe, and who is MC? However, I think I see the picture of the Virgin Mary in that metal piece. Go sell it on ebay.

An obvious case of trying to use the title to make your photo work. DNMC :)

lol this is pretty much how I'm feeling about my own cool challenge pic except I use real letters instead of @*%& hehe

this doesn't meet the challenge because your background is OOF (heh)

This is a cool and artsy photo Sandy! I love the idea of having her emerge from the water like that. I bet her friends think this is cool. I doubt non-photogs would make the following comment: something did not quite seem right to me about the water and now I see the straight line going across her hand and the part on the right that merges with the water in the background. I am not trying to cut this photo down at all (please don't take it that way!), because I love the creativity of this shot. I'm just saying that if you were to try it again, see if you can't get those parts to blend together a bit to totally enhance the illusion you've created here. And if I'm totally wrong, please let me know!

I hate him - I think his eyebrows look better than mine lol. And what is on his ear? A scar or a weird looking earring. I really do love how this shot looks so smooth. This looks good in black and white.

Oh and I love your approach of "i can always apologize later"...I'm going to have to keep that in mind :)

This has got to be an amazing place to see in person. And the light shining thru the windows must create a sense of nostalgia too. I'm more fascinated by the stuff on the right rather than what is down the hallway on the left. I love how the light enhances the details on the railing. Makes you wonder where it all leads to.

I'm slowly working my way thru the challenge. So hopefully you've joined in and done some more!

Interesting use of light and shadow. I'm fascinated by how it emphasizes the details on your back. Maybe someone said this already, but I would like to see one of two things: either some kind of backlighting to help you pull away from the background (since we can already see some of the foreground), or some lighting on your right side to balance things out. I think if you wanted to look like you were emerging from the darkness, then we should not be able to see the stuff in front of you.
