Alpenglow - Alternate Frame No. 1by EstimatedEyesComment: I like this better than your FS entry. The front seems a little more dynamic compared to the flat forground in the original. The leaves lead up to the moon? and you still have that gorgeous sunlit peak in the background. |

doubles tennisby nabuslComment: I gave this a 7. I'm guessing your friends left those whacky comments but I really thought this was kind of creative. I liked the perspective and how you framed your partner too. Interesting use of selective desat. |

enduringby krnodilComment: I'm feeling guilty because I quick voted on this and did not even see what the couple was looking at. It's a beautiful piece. The couple is emerging from the fog and it's like suddenly they are in awe of what was waiting for them. Love the lighting and the tree is beautiful too :) |

For the Love of Funby CharleneComment: That is so sweet to see them play together like this. If this were my boys, it would be that one of them was trying to jerk the swing out from the other lol. Looooove the sunglasses. Love the soft dreamy effect too. You and the girls are going to have so many fun and wonderful photos to look back on one day :) |

Wine and rosesby MelethiaComment: You know what's funny... I voted on this during the challenge, gave it a 7, and never even read the title lol. What I liked about it most was the perspective from under and behind the camera. I interpreted it as two flowers who were checking out the beautiful scenery together and they just kind of snuck into your photo. The sky looks great too. Well I appreciated it although obviously I did not see the original intention lol. |

"Where's your ball?"by Bear_MusicComment: I did love the processing. The details in the fur are excellent and I love the background. It's like a rippled sea of grass - quite beautiful! Beyond that, I did not feel this story was showing me all that much. Without the title, I'm just looking at the back of the dog's head. I don't know if it's just sitting there or waiting for some action. I would have preferred to see it's eyes. I find that dogs speak volumes with them. :) |

New Ties, Old Railsby bobnospumComment: Hi Bob -
First, the railroad tracks just cut across your picture. To intrigue the viewer, maybe show the tracks leading to somewhere, maybe into the background of your picture.
Second, there's not much variation in the lighting so the whole picture looks flat. Both items compete for the viewers' attention. I like to think of it as find one focual point to grab the viewer's eye and then use other secondary items to lead the viewer around other parts of the photo.
So for this picture, maybe, try some different viewpoints and perspectives and then compare and see if anything grabs you. Hope this helps a bit. |
