shot during the May 4 2008 DPC GTG at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ

I see the tree branch, the sculpture, and the couple all of a piece. I hope you see it, too.

I anticipate that some might not like that I framed the shot so that part of the sculpture is cut off. I stand by my choice. I don't think you need to see the whole sculpture in order to get across the interplay of the three main elements in the shot (four, if you count the fog).

I'm feeling guilty because I quick voted on this and did not even see what the couple was looking at. It's a beautiful piece. The couple is emerging from the fog and it's like suddenly they are in awe of what was waiting for them. Love the lighting and the tree is beautiful too :)

What I saw in this was the dualism of the two couples - and I quite liked it! I also see your point that the tree connects the two. A very enjoyable shot to take in!

Very nice. The mist beautifully highlights the real couple.

This photo just jumped out from the rest for me. The contrasts of humans vs. sculpture, mist vs. wall, and the tree branches vs. the top of the wall depict transitory vs. permanent, yet, as the title suggests, both are enduring. Very nice.

beautiful shot! so clear and a great sense of depth in the shot. The couples expressions and the mist make this an excellent image - 9

interesting photo, I think I would have done a tighter crop leaving out the tree branches on the top, it's a bit distracting for me

interesting pity about the light or what ever that thing next to the girls leg is , it detracts from the lost world look of the image. 7
