Playing with the windby PhotoDaveComment: I was looking for someone to give my 6500th comment too and I landed here :D
I gave this a 7 during the challenge. I loved the concept and the use of the extra piece of material to symbolize the blowing wind. I think I did not give it higher because the purple on her face did not seem quite right. I love your symbolic sense of freedom shown here. Who doesn't like to stand there and feel the wind blowing like that? Very cool. |

A Soldier's Tale by nutric08Comment: You didn't get a good score in this challenge but I hope that you will still keep with your candid photography. This conveys a sense of deep thought and emotion and I think that's something that is not always easy to capture. |

Brandon Grade 5by dsternerComment: Yeah I'm a slacker... so I'll give a long comment to make up for it lol.
What a cutie! He looks very comfortable in front of the camera. I'm gonna make some comments tho now, without much experience in using reflectors and what not. The one thing I notice is that his skin has orange/yellow spots and his lips have a light creamy orange color. I'm going to guess this is because of white balance? An expert on this could give you more info. I'm guessing it is because of your reflector. That's something I don't really know how to fix so you will have to ask Tim about that. I'm not really an expert on whether this is underexposed but I do think that you did a great job catching a lot of detail and shadows in the right spot. Plus all the key facial features are in focus - and that's something I usually have a struggle with (I just love my shallow DOF too much lol).
Great job with tackling this whole new lighting set up and kudos to your courage for putting it out for public critique. :D |

IMG_5464_1.jpgby PhotoDaveComment: Oh i like it! See what the bride thinks. I love how you posed the two of them under that poster. Very cool.
Edit to add: Take out the words "Polar Ice" if you can. That makes it too commercial and for me, kind of dims the romantic moment. Message edited by author 2008-10-08 15:32:41. |

The Strollby timfythetooComment: That's scary - I recognized Aimee during the challenge lol. I like the motion blur on the feet and the bright greens in the trees. |
