"X" gets the squareby dsternerComment: You got two very helpful comments on this pic! I agree, this is a great idea, and i too think the flash hurt - I think because it creates shadows that do not really add to the picture. Challenge yourself to take pics without the flash and see what happens! (use table lamps, natural lighting, flashlights!) |

__by undieyatchComment: you'll see me leave comments about this on many pics. My preference would be to see more of a black and white contrast. On my screen, the background has a slight sepia/yellowish tinge, as does the flower. I'd like to see more white on the flower and more black on the background. I am sure this will sound stupid to you and everyone else because on their computers it probably looks fine. I think you did an awesome job capturing the details on the flower petals - which is amazing since you probably did this is sunlight. The sharp focus on the center of the flower is awesome! |

trailby poserComment: I was thinking about this for a bit and was not sure if I liked the extra sharpness or not. And lol, I think I do because what it really does is helps define each tree. I think the trees could have gotten lost and blended together in the B/W. Interesting pic! |

comfortby PhilComment: i will be the dissenter here and say that i do not like the grain and I think the reason why is because of the clean white background. I love the composition, and the idea of the adult hand supporting the baby hand. (I wish I had done photos like these when my kids were babies). It is a lovely picture and should make a great keepsake. |

Day 1 - They call me Rustyby CapeSailComment: keep in mind that i am probably way into contrasts. I would like to see more contrast on the tractor to help it stand out even more from the ground and the background. Great subject to take a picture of! |

B&W - Day 1by mkComment: the leading lines take you straight into the depth of the photo - love it! and i am a big fan of how black and white can enhance the texture of clouds and sky - and i love the different degree of lightness in yours. |
