I like the other one better because of the green background and the centered composition. The gray background doesn't do much for me here I think because of the superbright color of the flower. I know in most cases you want that kind of contrast but for selective desat, I prefer richer colors against the duller background.

I am sure that makes no sense whatsoever and I'll probably be the only one who thinks this way lol.

Great contrast with his dark skin and the lightness of the sacks. He actually looks like a pretty happy guy. I'm weird tho because the first thing that really jumped out at me is the sharpness of the rice. The texture really just leaps out of the photo.
