Are We Nearly There Yet?by ioComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Composition
Good, I love the way the road curves away from the sign leading you into the scene making one want to see what is around the corner!
Exposure
I think that the sepia fits the sign giving an old time feel to the image. Black and white would have been too cold for this scene.
The focus is slightly soft. Maybe a higher aperture and faster shutter speed would have been sharper. Tonal Range is good.
Suggestions for change
A bit more depth of field.

One Wayby boyte1Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Composition
A clever, and original idea! You could perhaps have aligned the sign so that it hid the Tip of your thumb. The black and white format was a very good choice for this image, it would not been as effective for me in colour.
Exposure and Lighting
The lighting is not quite right it is too bright on the top of your hand and too dark on the sign. This is giving a somewhat soft look to the image it needs a bit more contrast.
Suggestions for improvement
Different lighting
Perhaps having the back of the hand showing rather than the fingers!
Hard too improve a very good shot! |

Breaking the rulesby zadoreComment: Greetings from the Critique Club

The speed limit sign provides a dramatic touch to a beautiful sunset sky! You have caught wonderful tones . Well done! Exposure
Good sharp focus where needed!
Sugggestions for improvement
I feel that a little more space at the edge of the sign would have balanced the image better but you would have to be careful then not to have the jet flying right out of the other edge.

Spilledby GraciousComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Composition
This picture made me smile but I feel that there is a little too much going on in it. I think that the cat is an unecessary distraction and is not in focus. I think that the glass is in the wrong place as the milk is giving the impression of running up hill.
Exposure: The picture is a bit soft and slightly out of focus
Contrast & Color: this is also a little flat and undersaturated
Suggestions for improvement
Perhaps using a higher aperature and faster shutter speed and rearranging the composition with and without the cat. |

Portalby AntithesisComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
I like the way that you have used the portal to frame this seascape but the dark rock at the front has fooled your cameras metering system into overexposing the sky whilst exposing the rock in foreground almost perfectly, the foreground at the bottom could have been a little brighter. I would have liked to see some obvious focal point on the other side of the portal drawingthe viewer into the scene on the other side. Colour and saturation very good other than the sky, the sea is a glorious colour!
The focus is good.
Suggestions for improvement
Try bracketing the shot if you have this option on your camera also a lower apeture and higher iso might help. |

It's a Stitch Eat Frog Worldby jenaromComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Subject
I enjoyed this image! The subject definitely meets the challenge of Humour!
Sharpness:
I find this image slightly soft and out of focus almost as if the subject was moving slightly.
Exposure: Good but the Contrast & Color, are not saturated enough
Composition
the various elements of the photo are well balanced within the frame and
as you look at the photo your eyes are drawn to the subject
Suggestions for improvement:
More Saturation and contrast, possibly a more contrasty background perhaps a sharper focus although this didn't detract from the image to any great degree.

Smile!by greenem2Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Subject A Smiling Tractor, Which made me smile too!
Sharpness:
good the image doesn't show any artfacts from oversharpening
Exposure: A little dark in the lower part of the image.
Contrast & Color: Good
Composition
As you look at the photo your eyes are drawn to the subject
Suggestions for improvement:
Perhaps experiment with different lighting, and boosting the EV a bit.
Congratulations on a photo that is very humorous!

Snowscapeby ManicComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Composition & Subject: A Snowscape
I was led into this scene by the line of trees on the right, but I felt that the path was also dragging me off to the left! Perhaps a different angle would have helped! Sharpness:
This scene has the right amount of sharpness needed to convey the impression of the softly falling snow.
Contrast & Color: Good
Overall a lovely shot!
Suggestions for improvement:
Exposure:I would have tried bracketing this shot as I think the snow needed to be over exposed by a stop to make it sparkle!
