Rodeo Daysby NoellaSueComment: The light is very harsh, and the bright patch on the riders face is distracting. I am glad that you didn't focus in too closely, as the background plays an important part in the composition. |

Out of the Surfby APComment: I am not particularly keen on the vignetting; it might suit a more formal portrait, but to me, not this particular shot. You clearly have skill with the camera - your focus is sharp, and importantly, the exposure is good, but this photograph doesn't really work for me. A head and shoulders formal portrait works, but in this candid I feel there needs to be more in order to set the context. |

Serious lookby TUBORGComment: It is a bit of a shame that the little boy isn't grinning, as a smile would compliment the one eye closed look better than the serious face, I feel. Did you play around with other crop ideas? I would be tempted to crop the bottom section, to just above the writing on the t-shirt, off, so that the viewers attention is concentrated on the face. You have a cute model here! |

Sunsetby saphireComment: I would guess that you have upped the colour temperature in a RAW conversion (although I may be completely off the mark). Any way, I am not entirely convinced by the colour of this - it seems just too orange, rather than giving a pleasing sun-kissed look. The inclusion of the headphones seems somewhat out of place. |

Summer Judo Fstivalby judojoeComment: they look like they were having fun! A nice reminder of the day, but judging it purely froma photographic perspective, I am not sure the two models compliment each other - you might have been better sticking with one or the other, rather than the two together. |

Sereneby LalliSigComment: A prettily composed portrait - the flowers in the hair provide a nice romantic touch. I am not keen on the post-processing, and in particular the orange shadows, which give a harsh look at odds with the romantic style pose. |

Not too happy...by KelliComment: She isn't, is she! I suspect that you ran this through a fairly heavy dose of noise reduction software - there a few tell tale signs where the texture is too smooth, notably the girl's hair and her t-shirt. A shallower depth of field would have thrown the background out of focus even more - next time watch out for distractions such as the wall running through the girl's head. I sound very negative - it's not bad, just not quite there. |

A Quick Flick of the Hairby Mr_PantsComment: I feel that this type of shot really needs a little more expression in the models face - hapiness/fun/laughter etc to pull it off effectively. The contrast against the clear blue sky is good. |
