The classic pose, but you have done it very well. The real connection between father and newborn is totally apparent, along with tenderness, but also something else - I can’t quite place it, pain, fear, apprehension, maybe - in any event, a degree of intimacy and intensity that is missed from many other photos of this ilk.

We call this Rape Seed, and in mid summer many of our fields were bright yellow pieces of a patchwork. Now, though, it has gone out of favour due to some disease that can no longer be treated as the chemical is on the UKs banned list. This is a lovely view, well photographed.
